BOSPORUS - GREENY - WORKSHOP
The “Bosporus-Istanbul artist” Yutta Saftien, will be present to speak with you about the project and present you with free materials which will allow you to create a greeny contribution to this international and intercultural undertaking.
Die “Bosporus-Istanbul Künstlerin” Yutta Saftien wird anwesend sein und mit Ihnen über das Projekt sprechen. Sie bekommen von ihr kostenlos das Material, sich mit einem eigenen Greeny-Beitrag an dieser internationalen und interkulturellen Unternehmung zu beteiligen.
THE BOSPORUS - PROJECT IN ISTANBUL 2008
A growing, peaceful, intercultural art-project by Yutta Saftien in cooperation with Fountainhead® Tanz Theatre/XXII. Black International Cinema Berlin 2007. Become a part of it! The Bosporus-Greeny will be a crocheted and knitted plant, complete with skin, tendrils and leaves made mainly from green yarn. Prospectively in September 2008, for the first time the Bosporus-Bridge will be decorated with artistic creations which will connect the Asian and European parts of Istanbul. The Greeny will have two strings; each of the strings will grow from each shore to the middle of the bridge. My team in Istanbul and I are already working on the plant, but we need your help! We urgently need crocheted or knitted parts for the Bosporus-Greeny in advance. These pieces will be put together and the Greeny will grow. Everybody regardless of his/her cultural, national, religious background or age is invited to participate in the project.

Ein wachsendes, friedvolles, interkulturelles
Kunst-Projekt von Yutta Saftien in Kooperation mit Fountainhead® Tanz
Theatre/XXII. Black International Cinema Berlin 2007 Mach mit! Das Bosporus-Greeny
ist eine gehäkelte und gestrickte Pflanze mit Ranken und Blättern, hauptsächlich
aus grünem Garn hergestellt. Voraussichtlich im September 2008 wird zum
ersten Mal die Bosporus-Brücke mit künstlerischen Kreationen dekoriert,
die den asiatischen mit dem europäischen Teil Istanbuls verbinden. Das
Greeny wird aus zwei Ranken bestehen, die jeweils von einem der beiden
Bosporus-Ufer zur Mitte der Brücke wachsen werden. Gemeinsam mit meinem
Team in Istanbul arbeite ich bereits an diesem Greeny, aber wir benötigen
auch eure Hilfe. Jeder ist eingeladen, unabhängig von seiner/ihrer Nationalität,
ethnischen Herkunft, Religion, seines/ihres Geschlechts oder Alters, daran
teilzunehmen!
