The Fountainhead® Tanz Theatre is a nonprofit organization that works to promote intercultural cooperation, education and exchange. It aims to be a "fountainhead" of art and culture. Through the work of the Black International Cinema and The Collegium Forum & Television Program, the Fountainhead® Tanz Theatre has proven to be a pioneer of intercultural exchange in Berlin, Germany.

"Southern trees bear a strange fruit, blood on the leaves and blood at the root." These are the opening words to one of the world's most famous protest songs. Its music and lyrics were written by Abel Meeropol (pen name Lewis Allan), a Bronx public school teacher - but were attributed to Billie Holiday, who first sang "Strange Fruit" in 1939 at Barney Josephson's Café Society, New York's first integrated nightclub. Joel Katz's compelling history of this anti-lynching song explores the alliance between American Jews and African Americans in the struggle for civil rights. With: Billie Holiday, Amiri & Amina Baraka, Abbey Lincoln, Pete Seeger, C.T. Vivian, Josh White, Cassandra Wilson and Michael & Robby Meeropol.

eines der weltberühmtesten Protestsongs. Musik und Text wurden geschrieben

"The Cole Nobody Knows" is a documentary regarding Chicago-native Freddy Cole, the lesser-known, yet equally talented younger brother of Nat "King" Cole. At age 75, Freddy Cole is, at last, being recognized for his amazing musical talent. The film examines the complicated journey of creating a career in the shadow of a famous sibling. Mr Cole's story is told through interviews with Mr Cole, Monty Alexander, Nancy Wilson, David "Fathead Newman, John di Martino, H Johnson, Carl Anthony and many others, Photographed in Atlanta, New York City, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Switzerland and France, "The Cole Nobody Knows" also offers a reinvigorating journey through the "Great American Songbook" by offering extraordinary live performance material with Freddy Cole and his quartet.
